I am loving getting back into riding, had a lesson at a stables back home the other day on this lovely old 16h thoroughbred (ex-racehorse), he was genuinely one of the best horses I’ve ever ridden.
Learnt so much, will defiantly be going back to those stables, especially since they are run by some hippy woman who lives in a stable and smokes weed all day, makes a nice change to some of the snobby stables.
I had my first fall over a jump too, which thankfully wasn’t too bad. The horse jumped a tiny cross pole like a 4ft jump which I was not expecting. I was fine going over the jump, I just lost a stirrup as the horse landed and lost my balance, looking back on it I could have stopped myself falling off if I had just relaxed and sat up. At least I’m learning.

Well tbh things have been good and bad. My relationship with my bf has hit a rocky patch which sucks, but on the bright side I’m back at uni meeting loads of new people :) and may even join the equestrian society.
I have been back a week and have contracted freshers flu which is ruining my fun tonight though I guess an early night would be best as I’m getting the train home tomorrow for the weekend.
The two things I miss most about being away from home are not seeing my bf, and the cat, he’s an amazing cat full of cuddles!
